  • PSG Small Talk: Recapping PSG’s Summer Transfer Window
I think it's safe to say Paris Saint-Germain had one of the most exciting and successful summer transfer windows in recent memory. PSG chairman and chief executive officer Nasser Al-Khelaifi and new sporting director Antero Henrique worked their magic and the quality of the players brought in all but ensures supporters will not have to endure another season like the last one where Paris crashed out of the UEFA Champions League and finished second in Ligue 1.
From Neymar Jr., the third best player in the world behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, to Kylian Mbappé, arguably the best 18 and under player in the world, PSG have set themselves up to be one of the favorites to win the Champions League. However, those two high profile names aren't the only ones to head to the Parc des Princes this summer.
In the latest PSG Small Talk, Marc Damon (@MarcDamon1) discusses all of PSG's signings and departures and examines how they will impact both the player and the club. Spoiler Alert: Jesé Rodriguez to Stoke City FC will have no affect whatsoever. Then, Marc will give his overall grade for the summer transfer window.
To wrap things up, our host gets into a highly anticipated fan-requested topic so make sure you stick around for that. One final note, we apologize for the audio quality for this podcast. We promise to improve that for the next episode.

  • PSG Talking: FFP Explained, Neymar Effect, CL Draw + More!
Earlier this summer, Paris Saint-Germain supporters cried out for some transfer activity following a very disappointing season. Now, Les Parisiens are the center of the transfer world with Neymar Jr. joining a few weeks ago and a host of other world class players rumored to be on their way.
Here to break down the mountain of news swirling around the club is PSG Talking host Guillaume (@Ofthedoor1), Louis (@Positionista), and Cose (@CoseEspinosa). The trio discuss the impressive wins over Toulouse FC and AS Saint-Etienne and how Neymar is fitting in with his new teammates. There's also the UEFA Champions League draw to break down as PSG must face FC Bayern Munich, RSC Anderlecht, and Celtic FC. Are they favorites to top the group or will the Germans have something to say about that?
Finally, the topic everyone is interested about when it comes to Paris Saint-Germain: Transfers. Kylian Mbappé appears to be on his way to the French capital but who else will be coming with him? How can PSG afford Neymar and Mbappé with Financial Fair Play regulations? Will the club have to sell any players to avoid sanctions? We discuss all that and more as the transfer window prepares to close on August 31.

  • PSG Small Talk: PSG Thump Saint-Etienne 3-0 at the Parc
With the path through the Champions League a little clearer, Unai Emery had to get his squad focused on a very tough Saint-Etienne side who came into the match level on points with PSG. With Stephen Curry watching from the stands, Paris struggled in the first half despite being up 1-0 after 45 minutes thanks to Edinson Cavani's penalty kick. There were more defensive deficiencies and at this point it all can't be placed at the feet of Thiago Motta, who made yet another start in midfield.
Of course though, all eyes were on Neymar to see if he could keep up his blistering form. The Brazilian had an off game by his standards but still managed to get involved in all of PSG's goals. Unfortunately, Angel Di Maria continues to be a square peg in a round hole. The Argentine is simply not working out on the wing and changes need to be made.
There are some warning signs for PSG despite taking maximum points from their first 4 matches but the train is rolling. Emery has his team right where they need to be heading into the international break and with potential signings on the horizon, things could get even better.

  • PSG Small Talk: The Champions League Draw Analysis
First up is the Champions League draw that took place last Thursday. After literally every player on Real Madrid was awarded a trophy, the groups for this year's competition were decided. Paris Saint-Germain landed in Group B with FC Bayern Munich, RSC Anderlecht, and Celtic FC and many supporters are applauding for two reasons. First, the teams are a nice change of pace from the usual opponents PSG draw in the Champions League group stage. Bayern will likely be favorites to top the group but with Neymar, PSG certainly have the quality to finish first and put the rest of Europe on notice. The other reason why fans like this draw is because there are no long trips to Eastern Europe. Les Parisiens only have to travel to Belgium, Germany, and Scotland.
How do you think Group B will finish? PSG Small Talk is holding a little competition and rumor has it there could be a prize. Email [email protected] with your prediction on how the group will finish along with point total for each team and goal differential and we'll see who gets it right.

  • PSG Small Talk: Neymar's Memorable Home Debut and Matuidi's Farewell
Last Sunday, Neymar Jr. made his home debut against Toulouse FC and he didn't disappoint in the 6-2 win. The Brazilian was instrumental in five of Paris Saint-Germain's goals, including scoring two himself, and he now averages a goal or an assist every 30 minutes of league action this season.
Marc Damon (@MarcDamon1) was in Brooklyn, New York, on Sunday for SummerSlam but caught a replay of the match and is ready to break down all the action. On the latest episode of PSG Small Talk, Marc discusses PSG's spectacular goals from the weekend and why it's time for Marco Verratti to grow up. He also talks at length about Unai Emery's defense, which allowed Toulouse to stay in the match for far too long. Should Presnel Kimpembe receive more playing time and despite his goal, is Layvin Kurzawa really the best option at left-back?
Finally, we bid adieu to Blaise Matuidi who recently left the club for Juventus FC. The Frenchman will always be a legend at the club and should be remembered for all his contributions over the years.

  • PSG Small Talk: Neymar's Impressive Debut and Transfer Talk
With all of the necessary paperwork in from Spain, Neymar Jr. finally made his Paris Saint-Germain debut on Saturday against EA Guingamp at the Stade de Roudourou and the most expensive footballer on the planet didn't disappoint. In the 3-0 win for Paris, Neymar recorded an assist to Edinson Cavani and a goal of his own late in the game. The former FC Barcelona man may have been playing against a bunch of "farmers" but it was about as good of a performance as supporters could have hoped for. PSG Talk contributor Marc Damon (@MarcDamon1) watched every spectacular pass and dribble from Neymar and on the latest episode of PSG Small Talk, he breaks down the Brazilian's first match. Where did Neymar excel on the pitch? How did he change the squad? Damon discusses all this plus the curious case of Angel Di Maria who may be the odd man out with the transfer window coming to a close. To wrap up, Damon discusses the white hot Kylian Mbappé to PSG rumors. If you would like to send in a question or topic for discussion, email [email protected] and we may read it on the next podcast. • PSG Small Talk: Neymar Introduced, Win Over Amiens, and Di Maria Dilemma
What a day for Paris Saint-Germain. On Saturday, the club introduced Neymar Jr. to their fans at the Parc des Princes with all the pomp and circumstance you would expect when it comes to a €222 million player and right after that, they defeated newly-promoted Amiens SC 2-0.
The pre-match ceremony was surreal at times. Watching a player like Neymar in a PSG shirt walk around the stadium waiving to fans is something few supporters expected, including me who wrote that he wouldn’t be coming to the club when the rumors originally started. With all the excitement before the match, it would have been terrible if the squad put in a poor performance and didn’t come away with the three points but luckily that didn’t happen.
Marc Damon watched the ceremony and match and shortly after, he recorded the latest episode of PSG Small Talk to share his thoughts on the festivities, the performance, and why Angel Di Maria is a luxury PSG simply can’t afford to have in the team much longer.
