On this episode of PSG Talking, I'm joined by Marc Damon to break down PSG's dramatic win over Liverpool FC at Anfield to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

We begin with our emotional thoughts on the match. Ousmane Dembélé scored in the first half to put PSG up 1-0 in the match and draw level on aggregate at 1-1. The match went back and forth, with both sides displaying incredible skill. There were diving saves, last-ditch tackles, fantastic dribbling, and curling shots that just missed the target. It was a heavyweight battle between PSG and Liverpool that ultimately went to extra time and then penalties to decide the winner.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, who had an excellent night, stepped up huge for PSG and saved two Liverpool penalties, and Les Parisiens went on to win the shootout 4-1. We discuss whether the PSG goalkeeper earned a contract extension following that performance. We also talk about Désiré Doué, who came on in the second half and was the player in line to score the winning penalty for PSG. We discuss his sensational ability and what it means to score such a big goal at 19 years old.

We break down Liverpool's strategy and how Luis Enrique countered that by being patient and trusting the players that got him to that point. We also look ahead briefly to a potential encounter with Aston Villa and former manager Unai Emery.

The show concludes with us answering your questions, including whether Dembélé should be a frontrunner for the Ballon d'Or.

  • Liverpool Win Late, But PSG Prove They Belong [Full Episode]

In the 1-0 loss to Liverpool FC, Paris Saint-Germain somehow proved they belong to be mentioned among the elite clubs in Europe while also succumbing to the same old script that has plagued them for years in the UEFA Champions League.

On this episode of PSG Talking, I'm joined by Drew to break down the disappointing defeat to Liverpool in the first leg of the Round of 16 tie. The show begins with a discussion of Luis Enrique's starting lineup. Did the manager get it right, or should he have considered making a change?

The atmosphere at the Parc des Princes was special, and PSG used that energy to put Liverpool under pressure early and often. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored a brilliant curling shot for PSG, but Kvara's calf and foot were just offside. We discuss PSG's tactics and the fast start to the match.

Shortly after Kvara's offside goal, Ibrahima Konaté appeared to push Bradley Barcola from behind just before he ran into the Liverpool penalty area. After the VAR check, Konaté did not receive a red card, and play went on. We talk about the decision and whether the officials got it right.

In the second half, PSG continued their dominating performance but simply could not beat Alisson Becker. The Liverpool goalkeeper made several spectacular saves and, in total, kept a clean sheet despite facing 10 total shots on target. As if that wasn't enough, in the 86th minute, Arne Slot took off Mohamed Salah and replaced him with Harvey Elliott, and a minute later, he took Liverpool's only shot on target and scored. We discuss whether one PSG player is to blame for the goal or if it was a collective failure.

We conclude the show by looking ahead to the return leg next Tuesday. Can PSG complete the comeback against the Premier League leaders? Is it better from a mentality standpoint that PSG is down a goal? We share our scoreline and how we think this tie will end.

On this episode of PSG Talking, I'm joined by Ethan of PSG Fan Club Boise to break down the 4-1 win over LOSC Lille and preview the massive match against Liverpool. We also talk about the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup and how fans in the U.S. can go see Les Parisiens.

Up first, we get into the win last Saturday over a Lille side that reached the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. Four different players scored for PSG in the first half, and it was essentially over in the opening 40 minutes. We talk about several standout performances and whether PSG can finish the Ligue 1 season unbeaten.

The bulk of the show is spent on the mid-week clash against Liverpool. The Premier League leaders have been on cruise control in recent weeks, while PSG has been lighting up the scoresheet. It's PSG's biggest test of the season, and depending on the results, it will inform Luis Enrique and Luis Campos how much work is still to be done in building a squad capable of winning the Champions League. • PSG Lasso Lyon [Full Episode]

Everyone wants to be a cowboy until it's time to do cowboy stuff. John Textor and Olympique Lyonnais learned the hard way that it's one thing to attempt to troll Paris Saint-Germain before kickoff, it's quite another to beat them on the pitch, which no one has done in Ligue 1 so far this season.

On this episode of PSG Talking, I'm joined by Marc Damon to recap PSG's win over Lyon, talk about the UEFA Champions League draw, and debate whether Ligue 1 could play a match in North America.

Up first, it's the 3-2 win over Lyon. PSG jumped out to a lead in the second half, but defensive lapses allowed Lyon to get back into the match late. PSG ultimately were able to hang on for the three points and extend their unbeaten streak, but concerns over Marquinhos and the defense remain. We discuss what we liked and didn't like about PSG's performance.

Up next, we look back to the Champions League Round of 16 draw, where PSG learned they would play Liverpool FC over two legs. We discuss where PSG's strengths and weaknesses lie and whether Luis Enrique's squad could take down the Premier League leaders.

Finally, with the National Football League expanding the number of countries teams will play in next season, we discuss whether Ligue 1 or another top-five league could follow the same model and move a match to a venue in North America.

  • A Fairy-Tale Thrashing of Brest [Full Episode]

Many expected Paris Saint-Germain to advance past Stade Brestois in the knockout phase playoffs of the UEFA Champions League, but no one expected what Luis Enrique's squad was able to pull off Wednesday night at the Parc des Princes.

On this episode of PSG Talking, I'm joined by Marc Damon and Greyson Lee to break down PSG's 7-0 win over Brest. We also get to potential matchups in the Round of 16, and some recent broadcast troubles for those who watch Ligue 1 in the U.S.

Up first, it's that massive win over Brest. PSG's 10-0 win on aggregate is the second-largest in Champions League history. Seven different players scored for PSG and it was a total team performance. We talk about the positives from the match and standout performances.

It's difficult to pick out negatives in such a lopsided victory, but there are some holes in PSG's squad that could be exposed in the next round. We discuss potential defensive issues at the club and why they may not be able to fix them until the summer transfer window.

PSG will face either Liverpool FC or FC Barcelona in the next round. We give our thoughts on the potential matchup and whether Barcelona is PSG's biggest rival outside of France.

We conclude by venting our frustration over the recent technical problems during PSG's Ligue 1 matches. beIN Sports, which holds the rights to broadcast Ligue 1 in the U.S., went to looping commercials in the middle of a PSG match recently, leaving fans scrambling for a way to watch.

  • Manchester City Triumph, Kvara's Debut, and High Stakes Against Stuttgart [Full Episode]

Paris Saint-Germain’s season is entering a critical phase, with big wins and key moments providing both hope and important lessons. Entering the final week of January, PSG must now prepare for a match that could define the entire season.

On this episode of PSG Talking, I’m joined by long-time contributor Marc Damon and newcomer Greyson Lee to break down all the action from PSG's recent performances. We look back at the comeback win over Manchester City, the draw against Stade de Reims, and we preview the match against VfB Stuttgart.

The conversation starts with PSG’s thrilling 4-2 win over Manchester City. Falling behind 2-0 in the first half, PSG stormed back with four unanswered goals, showcasing their clinical finishing and renewed fighting spirit. Gonçalo Ramos, João Neves, Ousmane Dembélé, and Bradley Barcola delivered the goals to complete the comeback, leaving fans dreaming of what this team could achieve when firing on all cylinders.

Next, we shift focus to the draw against Stade de Reims at the Parc des Princes. Despite moments of brilliance, including a goal from Dembélé, PSG found it difficult to break down a well-organized defense. We break down how the team’s pressing game has evolved and note the challenges of maintaining intensity across a congested schedule. We also break down Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's debut.

Looking ahead, we preview PSG’s midweek Champions League showdown against Stuttgart and make our predictions. With both teams fighting to advance, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Will Luis Enrique stick with the lineup that dismantled Manchester City, or will he make changes to achieve a tactical advantage?

  • The Manchester City Preview With The Blue Moon Podcast [Full Episode]

The UEFA Champions League is heating up, and all eyes are on Paris Saint-Germain as they prepare for a pivotal showdown with Manchester City. With both clubs needing a win to boost their chances of advancing to the knockout stage, all eyes will be on this match to see which super club slips up.

On this episode of PSG Talking, I’m joined by David Mooney, host of the Blue Moon Podcast, to preview the highly anticipated match. We dive into the form of both teams, the key players to watch, and why this could be a make-or-break moment for PSG and Manchester City.

We kick things off by discussing the stakes for both clubs. As David points out, Manchester City’s season has been uncharacteristically inconsistent. Sitting mid-table in the Premier League and struggling in Europe, City’s injuries and squad fatigue have exposed vulnerabilities. David highlights key issues like the team’s reliance on Erling Haaland, who’s been starved of service, and a defense ravaged by injuries.

For PSG, the situation isn’t much better. Despite notable improvements in transfer strategy and squad building under Luis Enrique, the team’s performances have been inconsistent. We talk about PSG’s reliance on their creative players to supply Gonçalo Ramos and how the defense must step up to contain City’s attacking threats.

We also get into how PSG’s recent shift toward a more methodical, long-term approach mirrors Manchester City’s strategy under Pep Guardiola. David shares insights into how City’s success has been built on consistency in management and a focus on developing players for specific roles—something PSG is now trying to emulate.

Finally, we get David’s prediction and why he thinks this will be a high-scoring affair.

  • Transfer Targets Could Complicate PSG's Attack [Full Episode]

The second half of the season is about to begin, and Paris Saint-Germain is facing a daunting month of January. They have two UEFA Champions League matches left to qualify for the knockout stage and they must strengthen a squad struggling to score goals.

On this episode of PSG Talking, I’m joined by Ethan from PSG Fan Club Boise to break down the latest transfer rumors. We also discuss the upcoming match against Saint-Etienne at the Parc des Princes.

Up first, it's the newest transfer rumor involving Aston Villa's star center-forward, Jhon Durán. Reports indicate PSG is interested in the Colombia international, but the two clubs are €30 million apart in valuation. We discuss the potential of Durán and other strikers, like Alexander Isak, joining the club and whether they will succeed in Luis Enrique's system.

Next, we talk about the transfer that appears to be closest to happening and that involves Napoli's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. We break down PSG's latest offers to Napoli for the Georgia international and what it means for Bradley Barcola, who plays on Kvaratskhelia's preferred left wing.

Another winger who could be joining PSG for next season is Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool FC star is expected to be a free agent this summer, and PSG will certainly be in the running for his signature. Could his arrival mean Ousmane Dembélé could be on his way out in the near future?

After the transfer talk and examining where the new signings might line up, we turn our attention to matters on the pitch with a Ligue 1 match against Saint-Etienne on Sunday. We discuss what supporters should look for, including the potential of Gonçalo Ramos starting, and we give our score prediction.
