  • Personal Financial Planning as a Small Business Owner

Chad Chubb, Certified Financial Planner™, is the Founder of WealthKeel LLC, a Philadelphia based financial planning firm serving high income Generation X and Generation Y clients around the country joins Enterprise Radio.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Chad Chubb discuss the following:

    * What are three financial planning topics that are overlooked with small business owners?* What is the biggest pitfall you see from most small business owners?* How important is it to distinguish between personal and business goals?* What are the differences in savings, for kids, house, retirement etc., when you become a small business owner versus working for a bigger company?* What do you mean when you say build a good team?

Tip: I am a small business owner, my parents and grandparents were small business owners, so I get “it.” I am also guilty of putting the “personal” plan on the back burner while I work to grow the business. I think that says a lot since I literally build financial plans all day every day. But take it from me, don’t neglect your personal financial plan for both you and your family’s sake, make sure you set aside time to make it a priority. I have seen what happens to those who are building a business, forget about the personal side, and then the unthinkable happens.

Chad Chubb is a Philadelphia-based Certified Financial Planner™ and the founder and director of navigation at WealthKeel LLC. He leads a fast-growing financial planning team and works alongside high-income Gen X & Gen Y professionals who feel overwhelmed by the increasing complexity of financial decisions. Since Chad’s niche is often burdened with complex student loans, he recently passed his Certified Student Loan Professional exam. He crafts simple, actionable financial plans for his clients so they can free up time and energy to focus on their work and families.

Chad built his first investment portfolio at 14 years old when he asked his mom to open an investment account for him. At 19, Chad obtained his life, accident and health insurance licenses and started his professional career as an independent insurance agent while a student at Penn State. Chad went on to earn his degree in Finance from the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University, graduating with high distinctions.

Chad is an established thought leader with features in some of the nation’s top financial news outlets, including CNBC, Forbes, U.S. News, and Yahoo Finance. He also frequently publishes to his blog and was recently featured on Philadelphia’s local NBC 10.

  • Making Home Security Smarter: Meet Sentry

Uday Kiran Chaka, the Founder & CEO of Sentry a company focusing on making home security platforms smarter joins Enterprise Radio.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Uday Kiran Chaka discuss the following:

    * What is Smart Home Sentry’s primary business? What do you do?* How do you make home security smarter?* What types of activity do you track?* How beneficial is this data to a home owner or community?* Where can users get the Smart Home Sentry platform?

Uday Kiran Chaka is the Founder & CEO of Sentry. Prior to this, he was a co-founder of a smart home startup, angel investor, and a management consultant. Uday gained an MBA from Duke University and a B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.

Smart Home Sentry (“Sentry”) is focused on making home security products more intelligent. Existing home security systems are good for monitoring and reporting, but they do not have the level of sophisticated AI to deliver data where action can be taken without actual human involvement.

The Company’s intelligent platform layers on top of nearly every camera on the market capturing granular data. The platform moves beyond package delivery, providing facial and vehicle identification, people & pet identification and real-time assessment of behavior. As a result, Sentry AI suppresses up to 95 percent of false alerts and only notifies users for potentially critical events. This advancement in home security delivers a new level of intelligence not seen before.

Sentry fills a gap in the market between home security that makes time-poor consumers self-assess all alerts, and expensive real-human monitoring services. The company currently offers computer vision and video analytics for security cameras and drones:

    * Security Cameras:  Sentry easily outfits home security cameras with AI technology in minutes.* Security Drones: Sentry automatically detects human activity and moving vehicles from aerial cameras on drones traveling at 35 kmph, 2000m above ground. Drone fleets can be managed with fewer personnel, while enabling a highly effective industrial operation.

    Intelligent. It’s the new safe.

Looking at your list of clients online, you have folks from various industries.* How is gamification applicable to the government and the military. Can you discuss what your company does with the city and how you help them?* You read everywhere how it’s harder and harder for millennials to find jobs or get their foot in the door to get jobs. Maybe you can give our audience so key takeaways from the book you wrote a few years ago.* Another buzz word we hear a lot is workforce training.
