This is a sports news flash for baseball. The Houston Astros vs New York Yankees. On Sunday Oct. 23, 2022, The Houston Astros were 3 games to none. The Yankees tried to extend the series but lost. The Yankees struck first in game 4. It was 1 nothing New York. Then it was 2 to nothing. Then there was a base hit. Rizzo was on his way to 2nd. Then it was 3 to nothing Yankees.

Later, one swing at the bat and the Astros tied it at 3. The Astros took the lead. Then it was 4 to 3 Astros.

Anthony Rizzo, a base hit, and the game was tied again. It was then 4 to 4. Soon the Yankees took a 5 to 4 lead.

In the 7th innings, the Astros have tied the game again. 5 to 5. Then Jeremy Peña scores. It’s 6 to 5.

In the 9th inning, The Houston Astros win. The final 6 to 5. The Yankees were close but lost.

This is a sports news flash. San Francisco 49ers VS Carolina Panthers on Oct. 9, 2022.

Tevin Coleman made a touch down in the 1st quarter of the game. San Francisco 7 to Carolina 0. I love both San Francisco & The Panthers, and I also felt that San Francisco was going to win the game on Sunday Oct. 9, 2022. All the way through the 1st quarter it was 7 to O.

In the 2nd quarter, it was 10 to 0. Field Goal from 43 yards away. Pineiro nails it, and the Panthers got 3 points. With 47 seconds to go, Mosley goes down the sideline. He goes all the way and makes a touchdown. San Francisco then had 17 points & Carolina had 3.

Soon in the 3rd quarter McCaffrey from the Carolina’s team makes a touchdown. They received 9 points. The score 17-9. I kept thinking, “Now is the time for the Carolina Panthers to make more touchdowns to catch up. But then San Francisco made another touchdown. That gave Sanfransciso a new score. 24 points thanks to Debo Samuel. After that, Eddie Pineiro kicked the ball and The Panthers score became 12.

In the 4th quarter, Wilson gets a touch down for the 49ers. The score is then 30 to 12. The San Francisco 49ers were way ahead. Carolina kicks the ball and then it’s 30 to 15. In the end of the 4th quarter, San Francisco wins 37 to 15.

Denver Nuggets VS Golden State Warriors. On Oct. 21, 2022. Denver Nuggets got off to a good start 3-0 in the first quarter. Soon it was Curry from the Warriors and a 4 point play. Denver 10 points & the Warriors 8 points. At the end of the quarter, Denver 37 - The Warriors 34.

In the 2nd quarter, Denver was ahead. They had 58 points & The Warriors had 43. The biggest lead of the night was Denver. They were up at 18. Denver 64 & The Warriors 46.

In the 3rd quarter, Denver had 75 points and The Warriors 57. Denver stayed ahead. The Warriors kept pushing it with the 3rd quarter to go.

In the 4th quarter, Denver is still ahead by 8 points. Denver 103 & The Warriors 95. The Clock was down to 5:45 in the 4th quarter. It’s Denver 108 to Warriors 101. The Warriors appeared to be catching up. Denver 118 - The Warriors 111. Then there’s a half minute to go. Denver 123 - The Warriors 116. Thompson hits a 3. Then it’s Denver 124, and The Warriors 120. 20 sec. to go. The Warriors scores on the turnover. Denver 124 - Warriors 123. But Denver scores 126 with 13 seconds to go. And the Denver nuggets win! Denver 128 & The Warriors 123.

Hi, I’m Gail Nobles at EPS. I want to talk about some Friday basketball games in the NBA. Brooklyn Nets VS Toronto Raptors.

Kyrie made a two point shot at the beginning of the game. Soon Toronto has 6 points against the Nets & is four points ahead. Then it is tied 10 to 10. Claxton drives in and before you know it, Brooklyn Nets 14 & Toronto 12. Soon Harris makes a 3 & then it’s Brooklyn Nets 23 & Toronto 22.

In the 2nd quarter, it’s Toronto 24 & Brooklyn 28. The game was finally tied 28 to 28 when the clock is down to 7:13, the game is tied again 35to 35. Things began to get really heated up as the game gets near the end. The game is tied again in the 4rth quarter 100 to 100. It’s down to the one minute mark. It’s 102 to 102, and Durant moves the score to 105 to 102. He makes a 3. The shot clock keeps winding down and Brooklyn scores again. It’s Toronto 104 and Brooklyn 108. The final is Toronto 105 and Brooklyn 109. Brooklyn wins the game.

Tonight’s Episode: Phil Jackson & Michael Jordan

To be honest, I hardly knew Phil Jackson. It was always Michael Jordan - Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan first joined the Bulls in 1984. He was the NBA Rookie of the year in 1985.

In 1987, Jackson was hired as an assistant coach by the Chicago Bulls under Doug Collins. He promoted to head coach in 1989. Jackson and the Bulls made the playoffs every year, and failed to win the title only three times.

Before Phil Jackson became coach, people were already talking about Michael Jordan. I wasn’t a Chicago Bulls fan & as far back as I can remember, every time I turned around, Jordan was making shots, slam dunking, and winning. He jumped high up in the air. When I think of air Jordan, I think of him & not the basketball shoes. Michael Jordan - Michael Jordan! I said, “This man doesn’t ever loose.”

I don’t remember seeing Phil Jackson that much. Scottie Pippen along with Michael Jordan played an important role in transforming the Bulls into a championship team and popularizing the NBA around the world during the 1990s. But though Pippen was there, all I could see was Michael Jordan. All I ever heard was his name.

However, Phil Jackson had to be a great coach. Jackson was the head coach of the Chicago Bulls from 1989 to 1998, leading them to six NBA championships. He then coached the Los Angeles Lakers from 1999 to 2004 & again from 2005 to 2011; the team won five league titles under his leadership. Jackson’s 11 NBA titles as a coach surpassed the previous record of nine set by Red Auerbach.

Hi! I’m Gail Nobles on EPS bringing you brief history about the New York Giants - Brooklyn Dodgers football game.

The New York Giants -Brooklyn Dodgers football game was interrupted with news of the attack on Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941. It is said that fans and players in attendance were not informed of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor until the conclusion of the game.

1941 was World War 11 era, and the Giants finished their game 8 to 3 in 1941. They held a ceremony to honor the future Hall of Famer Leemans in the final regular season game on Dec. 7, 1941. Leemans had been with the Giants since 1936, when he led the league in rushing as a rookie with 830 yards.

Hi, I’m Gail Nobles & you’re listening to EPS. It is said that LeBron James wants to buy an NBA team in Las Vegas after he retires. Is owning an NBA team profitable? If yes, I think LeBron James should go for it. Is an NBA team a good investment? If yes, I think LeBron James should go for it.

I hear quite a bit about people owning ball teams. Do you ever wonder just what does NBA team owners do? It is probably their job to hire new head coaches and sometimes players, and maybe more. I suppose they are the ones to make decisions for the team.

LeBron seems to have some experience. LeBron James is rich enough to buy an NBA team, and he’s got nothing to lose if an NBA team can be very profitable.

Hi, I’m Gail Nobles bringing you boxing news today. Shakur Stevenson dominated Robson Conceicao in his hometown Newark, New Jersey on Friday night, despite being stripped of his WBC and WBO super - featherweight belts.

Shakur an American professional boxer. He is a former world champion in two weight classes, having held the WBO featherweight title from 2019 to 2020, the WBO super featherweight title from 2021 to 2022, and the WBC and The Ring super featherweight titles in 2022.

Looking at the fight against Robson, Shakur is good with the uppercut and left hand to the body. He gets a 1 point deduction for hip toss and another deduction for tossing. But Shakur wins the fight. I think he fought well though he took a lot of punches from Robson.
