Jarrett Allen reminds me of the great old time players in a new age. I love his tall muscular slam dunks and his Afro. He makes me think of players like Dr. J and Kareem from the old days of basketball in the 70s.

Jarrett Allen is a basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA. He played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns. Allen was selected 22nd over all by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2017 NBA draft. In January 2021, he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of the four-team blockbuster James Harden trade. In February 2022, Allen was named to his first NBA All-Star Game.

Allen shoots long distance & the ball goes straight in. He can shoot and draw the foul. Allen has confidence in his moves. He’s good at blocking his opponents. He’s a very strong player with more than one strength.

Today’s topic: LeBron James Given Credit For What HE has done on EPS.

Hi! I’m Gail Nobles & I’d like to say LeBron James finishes the game with 38,390 points that Kareem Abdul Jabbar has held since 1984. That’s 39 yrs. That’s a lot of years. It must have been tough.LeBron pushed his all-time record to 38,390 points on Feb. 7, 2023. Lakers VS. Oklahoma City Thunder game.

There are people saying that Michael Jordan is still number one. Plus it is said that Kareem - Abdul Jabbar was unstoppable. Some still think that Kareem is the best score in the NBA. You can have the most points & not be the greatest in scoring. However, some people think that LeBron James is the best. Everybody has their own opinion.

My opinion is LeBron is given credit for what he has done in his time. He is not Michael Jordan or Kareem Abdul Jabbar. He is LeBron, and he is not the past. He is a present NBA player that made the all time leading score in history. We need some new history and LeBron is that new history in the NBA. There may be some things he didn’t do, but he made history finishing the game. However, some bring up Jordan’s name like he’s still on the court playing ball. I wonder what they would say if LeBron broke Michael Jordan’s record for championships. I hope LeBron doesn’t retire because I believe he can do a whole lot more. They don’t call him King James for nothing. That means he is King. I’m Gail Nobles on EPS.

Vince Carter attended the University of NC at Chapel Hill. When I first saw him play, I knew he was going to be a slam dunk star. Carter played college basketball for three years with the NC Tar Heels and twice advanced to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. He was selected with the fifth overall pick in the 1998 NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors, who traded him to the Toronto Raptors. Carter emerged as a star in Toronto as he won the 1999 NBA Rookie of the Year Award and the Slam Dunk Contest at 2000 NBA All- Star Weekend..

Vince Carter has a Career History. He played for the New Jersey Nets where he continued offensive success. He also played for the Orlando Magic, Memphis Grizzlies, & Sacramento Kings just to name a few.

Vince had a lot of passion when he played. He is the last NBA basketball player that I really kept my eyes on. Vince was the most exciting to me. He was ready when the ball was passed to him. He had power & strength in his running and his jumping. Vince would throw up the ball to hit the backboard and catch with one hand to slam. He had a lot of energy when he played ball and speed. Vince had strong legs & could jump very high to the rim. He had strong arms to slam.

That’s pretty much all that I could see to describe Vince Carter playing basketball. I’m sure there were more details about the way he moved depending on what he did playing different times.

Vince is the only player in NBA history to play as many as 22 seasons and in four different decades from his debut in 1999 to his retirement in 2020.

If you want to know who won the 2022 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship, Maryland Beat Cornell. The No.1 Maryland Terrapins defeated the No.7 Cornell Big Red 9-7 for their first title since 2017 and fourth in school history.

Lacrosse is a team sport played with a lacrosse stick and lacrosse ball. Players use the head of the lacrosse stick to carry, pass, catch, and shoot the ball into the goal. The players wear protective gear: helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, and elbow pads. The game is played outdoors.

Maryland defeated Cornell on May 30, 2022 to Complete Perfect Season. They became the 13th team in NCAA men’s lacrosse history to complete a perfect season.

I was surprised to see Daiju Takase escape Emmanuel Yarbrough in the UFC. Yarbrough is 600 lbs & Takase 169 lbs. I had to ask myself how is that little man going to fight that huge man. For a long time Daiju Takase moved around the ring and though Yarbrough was slow in moving, sometimes he moved quickly to try to catch Takase.

Towards the end of the fight, Yarbrough got Takase down on the mat. Takase tried to get out from under Yarbrough. It looked as Takase was stuck.He started hitting Yarbrough with his leg stuck. Yarbrough began to bleed. Somehow Takase got his leg out from under the 600 lbs fighter hitting him, and the fight was over. Daiju Takase beat Emmanuel Yarbrough! Amazing.

The Welterweight Champion of the World! Here is the First Lady of Boxing, Cecilia Brækhus! Tonight she looks to make history of 25 successful title offenses. Her record consist of 36 bouts and 36 victories.

Cecilia Brækhus is a Norwegian professional boxer and former kickboxer. In boxing she reigned as the undisputed female welterweight champion from 2014 to 2020, and is the first woman in any weight class to hold the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO titles simultaneously. She is also one of only 11 boxers in history, female or male, to hold all four major world titles simultaneously, along with Bernard Hopkins (2004–2005) and others. In 2016, she captured the IBO title, becoming the first ever boxer to hold five world titles from sanctioning bodies simultaneously.

Guinness World Records awarded her with three recognitions in 2018: the Longest Reigning Female Boxing Champion, the Longest Reign as a Four-Belt Undisputed Boxing Champion, and the Most Bouts Undefeated by a Female World Champion Boxer.[2] As of September 2020, she is ranked as the world's second best active female welterweight by The Ring.

The last headline that I saw for this year about Cecilia is she avoids retirement, to aim for junior middleweight belts. So we’ll be keeping an eye open for Cecilia Brækhus.

Kendrick Carmouche is one of the very few African American jockeys left in the game. He is 38 years of age and was born in 1984. He started riding horses in his hometown of Louisiana. He received his jockey license when he was just 16 years old.

Kendrick’s official win came in his name in the year 2000. He has won more than 3400 races and earned nearly $119 million.

That’s a lot of racing and that’s a lot of money. That tells me that Kendrick Carmouche must love the sport. I suppose Kendrick is like his father who also rode professionally and was a jockey. Kendrick is making African American jockey history. He is the first black jockey in the Derby since 2013.

Kendrick talked about the black pioneers that paved the way and got pushed out of the game. Kendrick thinks he’s rewriting history. Kendrick feels that he needs to make it right for all the jockeys before him to stay visual. He feels that it wasn’t easy to get to the point where he’s at, but mentally & physically he made it.

Hi! I’m Gail Nobles. What you are hearing is the World Series Game 5 - Braves at Indians 1948. The 1948 World Series was the championship series in Major League Baseball for the 1948 season. The 45th edition of the World Series, it matched the American League (AL) champion Cleveland Indians and the National League (NL) champion Boston Braves.

Let’s talk about the 1948 Cleveland Indians season which was the 48th in franchise history. When the regular season resulted in a first place tie, the Indians won a one-game playoff against the Boston Red Sox to advance to the World Series. Cleveland won the championship by defeating the Boston Braves 4 games to 2 for their first World Series win in 28 years. The Sporting News ranked the 1948 Indians the 9th-best team ever.

Hi! I’m Gail Nobles & you’re listening to EPS. I have decided that I would check in on the hockey games to see what’s going on. The Avalanche team seems to be a number one team. They played yesterday against the Blue Jackets Nov. 5, 2022.

In the first period of the game, Mackannon scores. It’s 1-0. When the clock gets down to 7:33, the Blue Jackets scores, and then it was 1-1 Werenski.

In the second period, the Avalanche team scores 2-1 - Martin Kaunt. And then the Avalanche team scores again, 3-1. Then Devon Toew scores, and it becomes 4-1, The Avalanche.

In the 3rd period, the Avalanche team scores. Then it’s 5-1, and Avalanche wins the game.

The Houston Astros have won the World Series!

The Houston Astros beat Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 in Game 6 and won the World Series. The Houston Astros celebrated their 4-1 World Series win on Saturday, Nov. 5 2022.

Yordan Álvarez made a three-run home run in the 6th inning, and the Houston Astros made a 4-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 6 of the World Series. The crowd went wild!

The Houston Astros are the 2022 World Champions. The score is 4-1. They won their second title in the last six series at Minute Maid Park downtown Houston, Texas. They claimed their title at its home field.
