  • Ep. 23 - How do you get to Carnegie Hall?
When Allen Iverson famously said, "Practice? We're talking about practice?" he was one of the greatest players on Earth, if not the greatest. So he'd earned the right to scoff at questions about practice. Why? Because he'd practiced for years to earn the right to scoff at practice! Look, I know this is something that a lot of people already know. But I'm talking about it and thinking about it because I am heading into a new business venture and I am starting to wear some new hats in this business. Every entrepreneur knows what it's like to wear multiple hats in their business. Sometimes you're writing content and doing creative, the next minute you're selling on cold calls and drumming up new business, and then you hop over and start building something with a new software. So think about that the next time you're beating yourself for not being as good at Q and A as Gary Vee. You can't be as good because he does Q and A 5 times a day! Do you? No. If you want to be as good as him, practice your ass off!

  • Ep. 22 - This Isn't Stand-Up Comedy
I hate to say the word hack, but I probably say it at least 100 times a day. It's really the only way to describe a quick and easy method to getting ahead! Ethical hacking is not even a debate in online business anymore. Everyone knows that once an idea is out there, it's fair game for your competitors to reverse engineer, dice up, throw it in a blender, and make it their own. And that's the main point - make it their own. And if you think this is something new or unique in the online world, just take a look at commercials on television. If you see one insurance company making a name for itself with a funny ad, next month you'll see ten companies trying to go funny. That's how the business world works. It's not about millennials, or unethical policies in the online world, or anything other than the bottom line. If something works, your competitors will find out, and they will hack it. If they don't, that's great for you because you will dominate them!

  • Ep. 21 - The Hero's Journey (for marketing)
Hello Everybody, Stop me if you've heard this one: A Hero is on a journey to conquer evil. Along the way, the hero meets various mentors that help to teach lessons that eventually allow the hero to achieve their goals and become successful. If you didn't stop me after hearing the word Hero, you've never seen a movie or read a book! That's how popular that structure is! It's everywhere. Donald Miller has a new book out called Storybranding that breaks down his course that teaches businesses how to tell better stories to their leads and how to better position themselves as the guide, NOT the hero of these stories. I haven't had an opportunity to read the book yet, but I have seen almost everything Miller has done on the subject, and he's got some great tactics on how to use Joseph Campbell's teachings about story and the human experience as applied to marketing and branding. He uses the following elements to make his point: 1) A Hero 2) That Meets a Guide 3) That Has Plan (to help the hero) 4) That leads to success 5) That leads to failure 6) And that has a call to action... Or something similar to that. Either way, I am going to read the book this week and let you know how it goes! Have a great week!

  • Ep. 20 - "...it's like a machine that monitors your brain."
Hello Everybody, Am I already starting to repeat myself? Today's episode is all about patience (again). I really struggle when it comes to having patience, so this will probably be a really common topic on the podcast. I'm running some Facebook ads right now and I'm doing all the testing (I should say that I've hired someone to do all the testing), and it is so hard to stay patient. I really trust the person run the ads, but it does feel like it might be smarter to actually hire someone to work alongside me to run the ads rather than having an agency that is worried about tons of clients handle it. You see what I mean? This is a sign of my impatience! Don't forget to check out my Instagram! @llcfreedom Talk to you guys next week.

  • Ep. 17 - Batch Your Repetitive Tasks (Unlike Me)
Hello Everybody, Today I'm squeaking out an episode about batching my tasks. If you don't know about batching, it is a highly effective way to put all of your repetitive tasks into a defined time frame and knock out a lot of tasks at once rather than doing the same task every day. I learned about batching long before I ever tried it, but once I did try it, I was amazed how much more productive it allowed me to be. But like a lot of good habits, I've stopped batching and gone back to doing the small tasks every day and I'm wasting a ton of time. It's easy to see small daily tasks as a nice win, but short daily tasks can prevent you from really going deep on the important work that requires your immediate attention. So I'm going to make an effort to start batching my daily Instagram Video Lessons and doing a full week's worth all at once for next week's posts. So are you enjoying the daily podcasts? If so, make sure to leave us a 5 Star review on Itunes!

  • Ep. 16 - Maybe Don't Ruin People's Lives?
Hello Everybody, Today I'm really doubling down on some extremely terrible advice I saw from Drop Ship Lifestyle's Anton Kraly. Here's the deal: I'm certain the Anton Kraly is a smart, capable guy. I have no doubt that his LLC Vs. S Corp. was not made to ruin people's lives. But guess what? That is not the point. The point is that he has NO BUSINESS giving this advice. It's terrible advice. If you think I'm just out to sell LLCs and that's why I think it's such terrible advice, I can't help you. You're doomed to lose all of your assets because of your own stubbornness and ignorance. But if you're unclear on whether your business needs to have some sort of protection with the state like an LLC or an S Corp or a C Corp, set up a time to talk with me at llcfreedom.com/calendar I will not give you the hard sell! I will educate you, and then very gently encourage you to use my company. Talk soon.

  • Ep. 14 - Grudge Match
I still have a chip on my shoulder from a 10-minute meeting I had over 2 years. I still think about that meeting at least once a week. The lesson should probably be to let things go and move on, but that's not what I've taken away from the experience. To me, the lesson is that people are petty (Me), and they hold grudges. So just be nice!
