  • Ep. 43 - The Four (Dee) Hour Work Week
The 4 Hour Work Week is a great book. It inspired me to investigate online business, and it's what inspired me to create and place my first banner ads for a dropshipping business! But for all of the people that book has inspired and helped, there is an equal amount of people that read that book, saw themselves as the protagonist, and went out and wasted a bunch of time and money without understanding what it takes to create and run a profitable business. Stating the obvious here, but business is hard. Even online businesses take a lot of time and effort.

  • Ep. 42 - Maybe You Should Wait to Hit Publish
Okay, I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer here. Taking action is great, and I've always been a huge fan of just doing things, failing, and getting better and better each time. That's a great way to move forward, for most things. When it comes to writing, that's not always the best option. Sometimes it's better just to write and write and write without publishing. Most people aren't born with skills; they have to earn them. Writing is no different. Check out my Youtube channel! I give 60 second legal and business tips for entrepreneurs five days a week! http://bit.ly/2zSThzs

  • Ep. 41 - Social Media Funnels (Especially LinkedIn)
Sales funnels are complicated. Every entrepreneur has heard of funnels, and tried to implement them in their business, but most of us are missing a major component in our funnels, and that's the free traffic we can generate from social media. I haven't fully mastered the art of the social media funnel, but I had an epiphany this weekend about LinkedIn, and why I have stayed away. LinkedIn always kind of feels like a stuffy job interview, and I'm not a huge fan of job interviews. I much prefer to be on the other side of the table asking the questions. But I've been thinking about it all wrong! What about you? Do you use LinkedIn? You can connect with me on LinkedIn here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/chancereynolds

  • Ep. 39 - Don't Get Sued!
I hear people's false beliefs about the LLC on a daily basis! It goes something like this: "I don't need one because my company is just me and they provide no tax advantages, that's what my accountant told me." Well, you're wrong and your accountant is an idiot when it comes to legal liability. Does anyone else think it's weird that accountants across the country are pretending to understand the law? I can tell you from my experience in this industry over the past 2 years, they do not! I hear accountants give some of the worst advice on the planet! I'm cleaning up legal messes for them right and left! Seriously, it's a depressing reality. They don't know the law! If you have any question please email me at [email protected]!

  • Ep. 38 - A Big Lie, The Truth, and a Story (for all my copywriters out there)
Just because something doesn't work doesn't mean that it's a failure. Okay, I guess it's technically a failure, but it doesn't mean the whole thing is a waste. One angle you take to try and accomplish something might fail, but that doesn't mean that you should keep pushing forward just to avoid the inevitable. Sometimes you just have to take some time, look at the big picture, and quit! The, "I'm not a quitter," mentality doesn't work for being an entrepreneur. If you take that approach, you're destined to fail long-term rather than pivot and succeed! Did you know that I build chatbots? Shoot me an email at [email protected] to see if chatbots could help your business succeed.

  • Ep. 37 - How to Learn for Two
I have created several podcasts in my day. The most successful was an interview show I did where I interviewed law school students from around the country and let them tell their stories about how and why they ended up in law school, and then I would give them advice on the fly about how to prep for whatever challenge they were facing. It was fun, and it made me realize that I was a pretty damn good teacher! But I never had a good way to show others how to teach. Steve Larson is a marketing guy and funnel builder for ClickFunnels and listening to one of his podcasts really shed some light on how to tell others what they should do to create new content. It's a method he calls Learning for Two, and I will officially be co-opting that description! Here's a link to his epsiode: http://bit.ly/2zzLKrE Also, if you want to see me teach about small business, check out my youtube channel here: http://bit.ly/2yCwTJj

  • Ep. 36 - A Terrible Explanation of SEO
SEO isn't my strong suit, but I've found a great tool that allows me to more easily rank my Youtube videos. I'm not that serious about Youtube, but I like making videos, and if I'm going to do it, I might as well do it right! The tool is called Tube Buddy, you can use my affiliate link (if you upgrade to the paid version, I might get paid) here: https://www.tubebuddy.com/entrepreneurlikeyou Also, Here's My Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMLknq0irCtWr4g7l6S9Q-A Have a great week people!

  • Ep. 34 - Be Patient for Results, Frenzied with Action
I see a lot of people misinterpreting an important piece of advice. If you know who Gary Vee is, you know that one of his mantras is that you have to be patient. And that's true, you have to be patient... for your results! Be patient doesn't mean that you can wait until tomorrow to create that piece of content, or record that podcast, or call that potential client. Being patient means that if you do all of that stuff now, you will start to see results from your efforts next year. Don't believe me? Look at what Gary Vee does. He hits the pavement all day every day and generates content. Does he see an immediate result from that effort? Okay, he probably does because he's speaking to thousands of people. But think about his first efforts. He had a show about wine on Youtube. That's how he became who he is. That's what put him on the map. The effort he put in on that Youtube show years ago laid the groundwork for who he is today. He didn't wait until he had the perfect vehicle to move forward, he took action and was patiently waiting for his results. Want some guidance on how to be more patient? Email me at [email protected] and we can have a chat!
