President Joe Biden wants everyone driving an electric car, and every home powered by wind turbines and solar panels, but these technologies require rare earth elements and other critical minerals to function. China and other geopolitical rivals dominate raw and refined rare earth and critical mineral markets. President Joe Biden's green energy mandates makes the U.S. even more dependent upon China's good will for technologies critical to national defense. No good will come from trading dependence on OPEC to dependence on China, the Congo or Afghanistan.

The media is using the recent devastating tornadoes that tore through the Midwest to push their message of climate alarmism. Don’t believe it. Andy Singer, James Taylor, Anthony Watts, and H. Sterling Burnett acknowledge the devastation but prevent evidence showing what happened is not due to human influences on the climate.

Wolfgang Müller and Holger Thuss, Ph.D., of the European Institute for Climate and Energy discuss how "green energy" mandates in Europe are causing a crisis, harming the economy, and even making Thuss (raised in East Germany) reminisce about his childhood... and not fondly. Sterling Burnett, senior fellow on environmental policy and the managing editor of Environment & Climate News, takes the stage at the 14th International Conference on Climate Change to discuss climate change alarmism. Specifically, Burnett discusses how climate alarmists claim every weather event is proof of anthropogenic climate change.

Chemist and materials scientist Chris DeArmitt's book “The Plastics Paradox: Facts for a Brighter Future” shows that plastics are better than the alternatives for both human health and the environment. Other materials use more energy and produce more waste. Neither cities, states, nor the federal government, should discourage the use of plastic bags, straws, utensils, or packaging. Claims that plastic is bad for the environment are based on myths. There’s no research to back up such claims. By contrast, thousands of peer reviewed papers demonstrate that plastics are a boon for humans and the environment. DeArmitt's analysis shows you can be for the environment or against plastics, but you can't be both.

Ignoring what is good for Michiganders, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is colluding with crony capitalists to force ever greater amounts of intermittent, expensive energy on the electric grid while restricting the use of fossil fuels. This is bad for people and the environment.

The reliable, inexpensive energy fossil fuels provide are critical to economic progress, a fact Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer seems to be ignoring. Whitmer is pushing, in collusion with crony capitalists, to force ever greater amounts of intermittent, expensive energy on the electric grid while restricting the use of fossil fuels. Whitmer is trying to shut down existing pipelines and force fossil fuel and nuclear power plants to close, with the stat promising utilities a 10 percent profit on new construction for wind and solar. This is bad for people and the environment. Jason Hayes, director of environmental policy for the Mackinac Center, is fighting against this blatant abuse of government power. Hayes shows how free-markets protect both the environment and peoples' economic well-being better than authoritarian mandates.

The environmental catastrophes and doom-and-gloom end of the world stories being pushed by elitist politicians, mainstream media outlets, politically connected industry insiders, and radical environmentalists are fake. They point to non-existent, invisible (so they can't be disproven) threats and say the unaware or duped public and future generations can only be saved if we give them more power over our lives. The oceans, polar bears, coral reefs and forests aren't dying, and genetically modified organisms and nuclear power are boons for, not threats to, humanity. The elites can't point to evidence to back their claims, so they reference model projections to instill fear in the public. The goal, as it has been throughout history, is for those pushing the scare stories, to accrue more wealth, influence, and power.
