Is purgatory a place or a Person? Afraid of suffering and purification?

Explore what the Bible calls God's "consuming fire" (Hebrews 12:29) -- from Genesis' covenant torch to the Holy Spirit's descent -- distinguishing eternal/temporal punishment and mortal/venial sin.

Unpack particular judgment as a loving revelation, not wrath, and sanctification as a state of the soul in divine mercy (1 Cor 3:15). Embrace purification, recognize suffering as personal growth, and find freedom from the fear of it. Reflect on God's tenderness, cooperate with His healing, and step into His grace.
