Dr. Champion looks at the estimated total number US SARS-CoV-2 infections using CDC’s Alpha/Beta/Delta-era metric, as well as Champion’s preferred metric now that Omicron is raging and there are testing shortages. Given the huge number of estimated total infections (using either metric), would you expect the US to already have achieved herd immunity? If herd immunity should have already been achieved, why hasn’t it?
