We can be the WORST about giving unsolicited advice. All of us are guilty of looking at another mama or another situation and judging her for not doing it the way we would. Sometimes, those criticisms find their way out of our mouths and into the wrong ears and we end up like Kate in a world of trouble. The truth is, we need to give each other the benefit of the doubt and be way less concerned about what another mama is doing while we have plenty to worry about in our own lives.

We’re specifically looking at our own motherhood journeys by focusing on the season of motherhood we’re each in. When we’re dissatisfied with our own season, we may be more tempted to look at another mom’s season and judge or critique her. God has not asked us to do that. He has asked us to be faithful with where we are right now.

TRUTH:

Ecclesiastes 3:1-5

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

2 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

Philippians 4:11-13

11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
