The foundation of my ministry is our union with God, which is how I got the nickname, ‘the union police.’ So, in this series, “Union Police,” we really dig into the reality of our union with Jesus and what it actually means. When you read Scripture and see the world through the lens of our oneness with God, everything changes!

In this first episode, I define the problem - our default belief that we are separate from God. Separation is an illusion and a false identity. Sin-consciousness, guilt, shame, and a performance-based relationship with God don’t exist anywhere except in our own minds (Col. 1:21). Every problem we face stems from the ultimate foundational lie that we are separate from God.

I also drop some pretty heavy realities in this episode, including: 

Nothing exists outside of Christ

The redemptive and completed work - the reconciliation of all things - that Jesus accomplished on the cross

What life looks like when you believe the reality of your union with Jesus - everything falls off except Love

It’s exhausting to be sin-focused, to try and be pleasing to God, to toil to be good apart from Christ, to try to be righteous and perform for acceptance. But, when you recognize that it is finished, and there is nothing apart from Christ, you can rest. 

When you understand the eternal truth and spiritual reality of what Jesus has done and wake up to who we all are - a chosen, reconciled child of God - you will see everything and everyone differently. You will, by default, fulfill the commandment to love God, yourself, and others. You will be known for your love instead of your judgment. You will experience LOVE Himself.

It’s time to forget who you think you are, let go of old mindsets, and let Holy Spirit show you your resurrected self through revelations and encounters!
