Rick Swales has 26 years on the job. He has worked as Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, and Battalion Chief. He retired from Georgia fire service 2022 and started as a recruit at the City of Grand Junction fire Department the same year. He was an adjunct instructor for the Georgia Fire Academy from 2006 to 2022. Rick is a Georgia Smoke Diver and is active every year with the program since 2008.
