Are you a Mary or a Martha? Maybe this question or thought is familiar to you— but is it perhaps more complicated than that? What do we really know about these women? Most often here on the Saltworks, you will hear stories and perspectives from guests who have allowed their lives to display the goodness of God. Whether in hardships, successes, and even in failings. And the guest-based episodes are so enriching and encouraging to hear stories + doubts similar to ours and how God was present and kind through it all. But the people in the Bible are just as human, real, and connected to us in those ways than we often think. On today’s episode, we take a closer look at these two women, adding in human emotion and motivations and may just walk away seeing ourselves in them both. And in that, the way Jesus sees us too.
