Welcome to episode 13 of Next of Kin Parents Podcast! I'm Emma, a British Expat, and Mum of 1, living in Dubai, UAE, and this podcast follows along my own journey raising my daughter and starting my first business.

In this week's episode I want to get real about sleep and the societal expectations surrounding it. After reading Lucy Pasha-Robinsons article for the Guardian on societal expectations around sleep and how it is used as a measure of parenting success, I want to open up as a Mother in the depths of sleep deprivation about my journey so far in the last 11 months. This leads me on to discussing the ever-present conflicting advice and duality of emotions.
