Lots of people try to reduce the Christian faith to a set of rules. And they're not entirely wrong, there are plenty of them. But this is not the heart of the Gospel! Rules only outline the boundaries of our relationship with God — they instruct us on how to not make a mess of it all. But it would be a shame to focus so much on the boundaries that we never get to the centre, never get to the heart of our relationship with God. Let's not make that mistake.
