Every year is a learning opportunity, and season number 2 as an adult onset whitetail hunter was no exception for our friend Mike Behrens. Mike returns to the show to dive deep into his 2023 deer season with our show host, Sam. They talk about the good, the bad and the ugly of it all. Mike shares how his high exceptions were quickly put in check with a difficult mid-October kill, followed by weeks of struggles. It's not all bad, as Mike got to close out his year on a stud of a Texas whitetail, and also experienced his first true case of "buck fever". This is a great discussion between two passionate blue-collar hunters, covering a variety of topics including the journey we all experience growing as hunters and archers.
