Utica, New York may seem like just another upstate city, but its past is steeped in darkness. From the ghostly apparitions said to haunt the grand Stanley Theater, to the lingering spirits of Hotel Utica, where the apparition of a man in a tuxedo still roams, the city is no stranger to restless souls. And towering over it all is Old Main, the former New York State Lunatic Asylum, infamous for its use of the dreaded Utica Crib and the suffering within its walls. Utica is more than a city... it’s a haunting that never ends.
