When Barnaby Caps took ownership of a local haunted attraction, he expected staged scares—props, fog machines, flickering lights, and seasonal screams. The kind of fear people laugh about on the way out. But it didn’t take long for Barnaby to realize something was off. Sounds echoed when no one was present. Movement appeared where no mechanics were installed. And the feeling of being watched lingered long after closing time.

Behind the fake cobwebs and scripted frights, something real seemed to be walking the corridors.

As the attraction shut down for the season, the activity didn’t stop. In fact, it intensified. Barnaby was left wondering whether labeling a place “haunted” had unintentionally invited something in—or whether the building had always been occupied by restless spirits waiting for attention.
