In a month where the hits don't seem to stop coming, The Good Brothers are here again to bring you another Batman: The Animated Series review with this week's discussion of "Shadow Of The Bat Part I & II." With two parts to discuss, Cal & Liam delve heavily into the plot and talk about why this truly is a masterpiece episode deserving of praise, even though it features the tired trope of introducing a new character only to reveal later on that he's actually on the wrong side of the law. Plus how setting up Barbara's story long before this episode made the metamorphosis of her into Batgirl make much more sense than often how it's portrayed in the comics. Additional praise is heaped on the instant classic soundtrack and what might just be a top 5 iconic line from Melissa Gilbert's portrayal of Batgirl. All of this, visuals a plenty including the unexplained change between episodes of the Batgirl costume, the physics of a subway car moving underwater and some beautifully directed shots throughout the episode, and much much more await you on this new episode of the DCAU Review!
