Here’s the key insight: the “hurt” and the “hard” are not the same. Hurt encompasses the heartbreak, the grief, and the sting of broken trust or unfulfilled dreams. On the other hand, hard refers to everything else — the paperwork, the learning curve of co-parenting, the challenges of identity shifts, and the daily challenges that come with transition .
