I’ve always believed that the lessons learned from overcoming major challenges in your upbringing will help you overcome future challenges. As a first generation, minority, and international college student, I had overcome my past to get where I am today.

This week, I’ve invited Frank Gonzales, a good friend with a non-traditional background, to discuss this topic. We used to think our pasts as immigrants would predict our future, but we were wrong.
