Death to the World seeks to inspire truth-seeking and soul-searching amidst the modern age of nihilism and despair, promoting the ancient principles of the last true rebellion: to be dead to this world and alive to the other world. We discuss the nature of punk rock and metal subcultures and the rebellion against the fake American Dream and modern society that they promise. But what solutions do punk and alternative counter-cultural movements offer? Many times, people within those groups find themselves in a dark, empty world of nihilism. Orthodoxy offers people a true counter-cultural rebellion against a fake, empty world, yet also offers a transcendent, spiritual, and mystical solution.
