This episode came about because our guest, Abbey White, who trains dogs using positive reinforcement based methods, took to social media to post about her journey on choosing to use an electric collar with one of her dogs for safety and quality of life reasons. Abbey received quite a bit of blow back about her decision so we figured it would be worth having her on the podcast to tell her story rather than letting social media tell it for her. Abbey is a talented and well accomplished dog trainer who explains the reasons behind her decision as well as how she uses the electric collar with her personal dog.
