Shaun's celebrating the birthday of the great John Hammond this week.

Since John's emergence in the late 50's in New York as a teenager, he's displayed a talent that has lifted the hearts of blues fans across the US and later the world. He's released over 30 wonderful albums and he celebrated a birthday earlier this month.

So Shaun's featuring Johns much loved 2001 release "Wicked Grin".
Produced by Tom Waits and featuring 13 songs written by him, its possibly Johns most successful album and it is just wonderful.

Plus a couple of songs from John Hammonds debut, released in 1962, when he was a vital part of the celebrated scene in Greenwich Village.
