Health care informatics is rapidly changing the health care industry through actionable data that can be used to create greater efficiency, coordination, safety and improved patient outcomes. But managing large amounts of data depends on technology and individuals who can translate that data. In this episode of The Cerner Podcast, Dr. Mark Braunstein, professor of the practice in Georgia Tech's School of Interactive Computing, discusses the future of health care informatics. Dr. Braunstein teaches health informatics both on campus and via his two massive open online courses. He is also involved in a number of efforts and research projects involving Georgia Tech and health industry collaborators.
