We are cutting the crap! 😉 YES… it’s time to stop lying to ourselves!

We are master manipulators when it comes to convincing ourselves that something is good for us when, deep down, we know it isn’t making us happy.

Raise your hand if you know you’ve done this before — convinced yourself that something was making you happy or was part of your “new” identity, when deep down you knew it wasn’t. Sometimes, you don’t even realise it until you’re out of whatever scenario you placed yourself in!

So why do we do this? It’s a form of control… it’s fear of letting go… and it’s not wanting to face the facts.

When you’ve convinced yourself that something makes you happy — for example, I did this with my competition prep lifestyle — you might be tricking yourself into believing it because you’re afraid that letting go would erase your progress, and therefore, on a deeper level, your sense of value.

Evaluate if you’re doing this in any area of your life. If the thought of losing that control gives you anxiety, it’s probably a fight-or-flight response — not something that’s truly making you happy. 😉
