Happy October!

Today’s episode of The GIST of It is a special three-parter. First, co-hosts Ellen Hyslop and Steph Rotz hit it out of the park with an MLB postseason preview, discussing how the playoffs work, the top contenders, and key players to watch before the Wild Card series begin later today. 

Then in part two, El and Steph head to the hardwood to catch up on the WNBA semis before digging into a recent WNBPA statement on media coverage of the league  and how it fits into the larger conversation surrounding the racism W players are facing this year.

And last but not least in part three, NWSL and USWNT legend Ali Krieger stops by for a quick chat about her recent visit to the White House to celebrate NJ/NY Gotham FC’s 2023 NWSL championship and her new role as the club’s first-ever ambassador. Goals.
