Listen Later

Welcome back, spooky squad, to another episode of Scream and Sugar, your true crime coffee hour.
Today, Candace takes us through a tragic case. In 1982, deep in the woods of northern Georgia, Dr. Charles Scudder and Joseph Odom lived a secluded life in a hand-built, gothic-style mansion they called Corpsewood Manor. The couple had moved there to escape society, seeking privacy and self-sufficiency. But their tranquil existence turned into a horror story when they were brutally murdered by two young men, Tony West and Avery Brock, who had come to the manor under the guise of friendship but had robbery and violence in mind. The case took a dark turn when sensational rumors about satanism, secret sex parties, and a chilling mix of drugs and occult imagery became the focus of media and investigators. But was the true motive greed and opportunism, or was there something more sinister at play?

Stay tuned as we dig into the twisted details behind the Corpsewood Murders and sip and snack on incredible treats from Beloved Bakery! And remember, to Stay spooky.
