Anna and Amanda discuss the Prime Minister's Literary Awards, including the fiction winner Border Districts by Gerald Murnane.

Our book of the week is The Italian Teacher by Tom Rachman.  Shortlisted for the Costa Book Awards Best Novel, to be announced on 7 January 2019, and described by The Australian as 'a book of perfection', Amanda loved this novel and its dissolute hero, Pinch.
