There are 19 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’ve watched and reviewed each of them over the past two months in our MCU series. Of course, we’re gonna devote an entire podcast to rank our favorites. Though we give you a feel for each plot and may color in some of our reviews, this is otherwise a Spoiler Free episode.

This show’s format is simple. We recap the 19 films in the MCU over the four phases, including the upcoming films scheduled for release in Phase 4. Then we rank & grade the MCU films in a duelling countdown from 19 down to 1. We laugh while our lists (which we didn’t speak to each other about beforehand) go in the same way. Then we have some red faced fun debating things when we begin to differ. There’s some fire. There’s some grand statement making, and the Mikes get heated up for a spell there. But despite our differences (god, we live sheltered lives), we come together in our celebration of this wonderful landmark achievement that is the MCU.

It’s the Oscar Off-Season, and we’ve loved this chance to cover some other projects, including this MCU in review series. We review each Oscar category, predict the winners, and then review the show & the year in movies in multiple episodes. From our own Award Show to a beat for beat recap of the one hosted by Hollywood, we do cover the hell out of the Oscars when the time comes. To prove it, we’ve already previewed next year’s show with ep 53. So stay tuned for much more 2018-19 coverage on the Academy Awards.
