Before ever attending the program, Valerie had suffered abuse at home and she gives us an up-close account of the mental anguish that occurred from being subjected to one abusive environment to the next, at Spring Creek Lodge, and how her journey in healing from these catastrophic events has led her to take her power back and break the trauma cycle by parenting her child with mindfulness, compassion, and intention.
