Julian Malland, better known as SETH moves through the world with a careless ease and fierce determination that seems to be completely contradictory. Nicknamed the “Globepainter”, his thirst for travel powers his art and vice-versa leaving a trail of murals in his wake that span the globe. Often taking the road less traveled, Seth’s work can be found in extremely remote locations as well as the big city. Whether through cultural references to the area in which he’s painting, or incorporating the physical aspects of the space into his work, the environment always plays a big roll in his murals.
While in Napier, New Zealand for the Sea Walls festival Seth sat down with us to discuss it all on VantagePoint. Big thanks to Pangeaseed and the Sea Walls crew for helping make it happen.
