We go back to mid World War II for the accounts I have brought this time on The True Crime Enthusiast Podcast, for two tales of brutal murder that involve dances, soldiers, 3 sent letters, a detective novel, two debts that never were - and a seemingly ficticious character. 

And a tenuous link to both tales, hence the title.
