Todd Mullis married Amy Fuller in 2004. Todd and Amy’s marriage was far from perfect, and Amy had a couple of affairs during her marriage with the intent of eventually divorcing Todd. Amy had confided in several friends and family members of her unhappiness in her marriage, her affairs, her intent to want to leave Todd, but also her fears of doing so. Todd invested many years of work and money into his farms, and was reluctant to give that up in a possible divorce.  In November 2018, Amy was found on the floor of a shed on their farm property with a corn rake impaled in her back. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Three months later, Todd was arrested and charged with the murder of his wife.
