James started training in High School and became known by his stage name, Big Paulie Gilmore. He started with the Century Wrestling Alliance, which eventually became a National Wrestling Alliance territory. Once James was no longer in the ring, he started New World Wrestling Extreme. He hosts events In New England and is based out of Rhode Island. Their shows are also now streaming globally on the Troptions streaming network.
