On episode 24 of The Gamekeeper Podcast we welcome Dr. Michael Chamberlain, Professor of Wildlife Ecology and Management at UGA. We discuss the challenges that must be overcome for a long beard to reach adulthood. We also touch on the condition of wild turkey populations with Dr. Chamberlain as he shares his extensive research and knowledge on the species. We cover everything from managing habitat, making a better impact with predation, bag limits, season dates, insect populations, and what we can do, not only as individual Gamekeepers but as a collective to preserve wild turkeys.
