On New Year’s Day 2017, Anna Slayton experienced a mother’s worst nightmare. While working an overtime shift as a nurse, Anna received a phone call and was told her 2-year-old son had just drowned. 

Host Erika Seamayer-Williamson talk with Anna about overcoming unspeakable tragedy and how an encounter with God literally saved her own life from a suicide attempt. Today Anna walks with a poise and a peace that showcases the amazing grace of God in her life. Her journey from unspeakable anger toward those responsible for her son’s accidental death to genuine forgiveness has important lessons for any listener.

Anna is now re-married, has four children, and is earning a degree to become a nurse practitioner. To that end she is launching Kardia Wellness, a health/nutritional coaching service designed to “bring physical, emotional and spiritual care all in one.”
