A beautiful soul named Felicia Toler is on the podcast today, and I cannot wait to share her miraculous story of shame turned into hope and darkness replaced by light. Felicia and I met at the end of Season 1 when she sent me the most encouraging email after listening to the Saltworks. In that email, Felicia shared with me the miracle that is her life today, and now one year later, I am getting the honor to share it with you. It is the kind of story that we just don’t get to hear much, because it can be difficult to share, but Felicia was so brave and so kind to come and share it with us today. I do want to disclaim for anyone with younger kids or for those who may find some of today’s conversation triggering, that we do talk about abortion and suicide. Felicia boldly and vulnerably discloses parts of her story that many may not know and with those, the hope of Jesus Christ and the miraculous healing that he can and does bring into our stories. Despite the hard road you will hear and the darkness she has walked through, Felicia is so full of joy and spreads light to all she meets. The Lord has good plans for her yet, and I can’t wait for you to hear her story and be encouraged.
I want to say to anyone who has or is struggling with thoughts of suicide or depression, please tell someone. Please reach out to someone and know that you are not alone and those thoughts are not the verdict nor is this darkness the end of the story. There is hope, and his name is Jesus.
