In 1984 the local women & sex workers of Tampa Florida were left terrified to go about their daily lives & forced to live in fear.

Because over an 8 month period a dangerous, sexually sadistic serial killer was active & he was killing local women at a vast rate .

Not only was then 30 year old Bobby Joe Long responsible for the murders of at least 10 women, but he had also started this crime spree by previously committing over 50 violent rapes.

These mysterious, anonymous attacks led to him becoming known by the media as ‘The Classified Ad Rapist’.

When finally Bobby Joe picks up the wrong victim, 17 year old Lisa Mcvey who managed to escape with her life & identify her violent attacker, his reign of terror is finally brought to an end .

In today’s episode we look at how a man that seemed like he could have had a normal family life, just could not control his violent sexual compulsions.

Ultimately leading to him becoming recognised as one of the most infamous & voracious serial killers in American history.
