- Putting it all together
Worldview Week--Day Five: Evan and Liz talk about how the previous topics in Worldview Week all fit together, giving a coherent method of sorting out truth-wheat from not-truth-chaff. Because God has prepared good works in advance for us—things that will make us more fulfilled than we could dream—we don't have time to waste believing lies. We need to throw off the lies that hinder us and run the race. However, sorting out your worldview isn't something you have to do alone.

Worldview Week--Day Four: We live in an age of relentless information—coming at us through our phones, the TV, the Internet, from friends and teachers and co-workers. But no one can accept all the information out there and maintain their sanity. Christians have an extra level of responsibility to the truth. Evan and Liz Frerichs encourage their listeners to examine these information systems through the lens of the Bible.

19 min - Why Do We Talk About Tai Chi So Much?
Worldview week day three: It's not that Evan and Liz Frerichs hold Tai Chi in higher esteem than the Bible. But they believe the core principles of Tai Chi—being calm, surrender, centered, connected, & complete--are biblical and the physical principles have helped them learn spiritual disciplines in a tangible way.

17 min - Keep Your Baloney Grid Close
Worldview Week--Day Two: All truth is God's truth—it's a phrase Evan and Liz feel describes the world around us. God's truth is so embedded in the world that evil, try as it might, cannot totally replace it with lies. But it takes a connection to the Holy Spirit and practice to see and understand the truth—this is where a robust baloney grid is critical.

17 min - Faith: Not a Blind Leap!
Worldview Week--Day One: Faith is based on the works of God – it's not a blind leap off of a cliff! Faith isn't something we're born with. By God's design, and by natural processes, growth comes through experiencing challenging things that build up our trust in God. We don't have to be afraid of information!

19 min - Passion Week: Jesus, Complete on the Cross
What must have it been like for Jesus to be present--in the moment, not looking for an escape—while he is hanging on the cross? He asked God for another way in the garden, but now he's following through, not looking for a distraction, locked into those around him, fulfilling his mission for us. What an amazing example of complete for us to ponder on Good Friday!

14 min - Passion Week: Jesus, Forsaken by God
All people at some point in their lives feel abandoned by God, but Jesus is the only person to actually experience that abandonment. The words he spoke from the cross are a quote from the Old Testament—Psalm 22—and give us insight as to what that felt like. And it's loaded with prophecy of things that really happened to Jesus on the day he died.

14 min - Passion Week: Jesus Knows Himself and His Mission
Jesus was no stranger to mobs—some of the time they adored him, but more often than not they wanted to kill him. Today we talk about Jesus hanging on to his identity in the midst of crazy. He knows who he is, he says who he is, and he trusts God to deliver him.

13 min - Passion Week: Jesus Maintaining His Faith
Who are you when it's just you and God? Like Jesus in the garden alone the night before he died. We see his faith and his struggle to obey. We get a powerful story of Jesus surrendering before the ordeal begins. We should model this in our lives because it's 1000 times harder to surrender in the middle of the storm. We discuss ways to do this surrender pre-work.

13 min - Passion Week: the Illegal Trials of Jesus
It's the week before Easter, and we're going to spend time this week reading about and thinking about the way Jesus used the CSCs (Calm, Surrender, Center, Connected, & Complete) in the few days before his murder. We're reading from John 18 & 19 – the religious and civic trials of Jesus. How did Jesus maintain his calm during this time?

About Epic Every Day
From the publisher's feed
We live in a world of overwhelm—not enough time, not enough energy, not enough money... the list of not-enoughness could go on and on. Most of us can only dream of finding margin. Most of us struggle to have time, energy, etc. to really fulfill God's calling in our lives, to be the people He's designed us to be. Without changing how we live, we will never find margin to thrive.
Epic Every Day is about transforming each moment from the inside out, creating margin in that moment by using the CSC's. Living in the CSCs is a state of being; being calm, surrendered, centered, connected, and complete. They are an adaptation of Peter Ralston's Tai Chi principles and can also be found all over the Bible. Being in the CSCs can transform each moment into a place of freedom and enough-ness, no matter what your circumstances are.
