It should be a clue that Buddhism, street racing, Medicare, and the most important philosophers of the 20th Century all say the same thing: "Meaning comes from Loss and Pain". Of course Buddhism says "Life is Suffering", more interesting is Quine's argument against skepticism that some things exist otherwise why would they cause so much headache and pain. Right now, I'm dealing with "Meaningful Use" in medicine, and I assure you it is indeed Painful and created so I will LOSE money!
