Middle school is a time when girls begin asking deeper questions about who they are and where they belong. Defining Dignity, an Endow study, invites rising 7th and 8th grade girls into a small group experience centered on identity, confidence, and faith.

Through guided conversations, stories of the saints, and meaningful discussion, participants will discover their God-given worth and learn what it means to live with dignity and purpose. This is a welcoming, supportive environment where girls can grow in friendship while being rooted in truth.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) will hold its 2026 Spring Plenary Assembly in Orlando, Florida, on June 10-12. As part of their assembly, the Bishops will concelebrate Mass and consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The act of consecration will take place on Thursday, June 11, and the Bishops will hear reflections on the Sacred Heart ahead of the Mass. The consecration comes as the US celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4.

The word “Pentecost” comes from the Greek word pentekoste, meaning “fiftieth” (as derived from the root word pente, which means five). Accordingly, the Christian Pentecost is celebrated 50 days after Easter. It is the feast that marks the end of the Easter season — and the official beginning of the Church.

A quick search for Pentecost’s definition indicates it commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles, but what is Pentecost’s meaning in our lives today? Venerable Fulton J. Sheen of the United States is set to be beatified on Thursday, September 24, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri. Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, will preside at the beatification Mass, representing Pope Leo XIV.

After his heroic virtue was recognized, Fulton Sheen was declared Venerable in 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI. In 2019, Pope Francis authorized a decree recognizing a miracle through his intercession. This recognition cleared Archbishop Sheen for beatification, after which he will have the title “Blessed.”

Dr. Gabriel X. Martinez teaches economics and statistics at Ave Maria University. His interests focus on economics education, international finance and open-economy macroeconomics, financial crises, and Catholic social teaching. He has published on the Ecuadorian financial crisis, on the role of economics and of online education in Newman’s idea of the university, and on Pope Francis’s economic ideas. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Notre Dame and an MA in Educational Technology Leadership from George Washington University.
