College softball has FINALLY returned! To get you ready for the new season, Tom Canterbury and Gray Robertson are here to discuss everything you need to know about Alabama, the SEC, and much more in the Season Eight Premiere. Just like last year’s premiere, this will be the longest episode of the year, so don’t be afraid to break it up over a few days. Here's your trip around the bases:
At the Plate (0:00-29:50): Tom and Gray thoroughly examine the 2026 Alabama roster, break down possible lineups, and take a glance at how the opening trip to Atlanta could play out for Team 30.
Advancing to First (30:00-1:12:04): Tom and Gray discuss the preseason All-SEC team before diving into all 15 schools from the Southeastern Conference with the Preseason Poll as a guide. Then, the guys look at the biggest games during opening weekend.
Stealing Second (1:12:15-1:55:11): SEC Network analyst and Alabama alum Haylie McCleney joins the show to discuss what’s exciting her most about the season, the Texas Tech storyline, expectations around Texas, the SEC race, Alabama in 2026, Big Ten contenders, the tight ACC, possible challengers in the Big 12, AUSL host cities, and more.
Rounding Third (1:55:20-2:21:59): Softball aficionado Emily Pitek Clifford joins the guys once again for "Pitek's Point of View,” covering topics like how this offseason was a little different, Texas and Oklahoma’s first year in the SEC, the NIL era, the need for positivity from fans, and plenty more.
Heading Home (2:22:08-3:28:05): To close the premiere, it's an extremely loaded final segment. Tom and Gray make bold declarations for the upcoming season in "Landmine or Goldmine,” and then also present their 2026 SEC preseason polls. Finally, the guys dig into an “Off the Wall” that examines some offseason comments.
