Kathleen opens the show reminding listeners to get their own “twisty Bic candle lighter”, and introduces her new vintage Stevie Nicks prayer candle. Kathleen’s other favorite singer Dolly Parton has mentioned that she is still considering posing for Playboy for her upcoming 75th birthday. Kathleen celebrates the latest antics from her Pub Idols by toasting them with a Spotted Cow beer, and describes her last hangover experience drinking too much of the New Glarus beer after one of her shows in Green Bay.

“GAS STATION or ROAD” FOOD: In continuing her search for best not-so-nutritious fast food, Kathleen shares with listeners her review of Hebrew National mini hot dogs and frozen White Castle sliders. She recommends 48 seconds in the microwave for the ultimate deliciousness.

She argues the data presented, as well as the fact that United Airlines sponsored the test. She reads that researchers have used radiocarbon dating to determine the ages of 28 of the animals, and estimated that one female was about 400 years old. The team found that the sharks grow at just 1cm a year, and reach sexual maturity at about the age of 150.

According to locals in the Irish town of Dingle, Fungie was first spotted in the Dingle Harbor in 1983 making him approximately 40 years old. One of the tourist highlights for anyone visiting the area is a boat ride to see Fungie, and Kathleen is devasted that her dolphin friend has been reported missing.
