Right after St. Patrick’s Day we’ve got a fascinating piece of Irish history to tell you about - The Wrens of the Curragh, a community of women who lived at the margins of Irish society in the aftermath of the great famine. Their lives were brutal, as were the oppressive forces keeping them poor and hungry no matter what they did to rise above. However, their unity in the face of hardship is what makes these women so invaluable to Irish history, and we’re looking forward to introducing you to their story!
