To kick off the Autism series, I invited Emma Woodhouse, Neurodevelopmental Specialist, onto the podcast to provide her expertise on two of the assessment tools used in the diagnosis of Autism. Emma is a trainer in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 (ADOS-2) and Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). She also runs workshops in ASD and ADHD. We explore some of the reasons behind why an assessment may be suggested for someone, the assessments themselves and touch upon the importance of routines.
