Your Working Dog Radio hosts, Eric @vanessk9 & Ted @ted_summers, sit down with official mentor trainer for the Animal Behavioral College, America’s Canine Educator on YouTube, Dogtra partner, and owner of No Bad Dogs and Upstate K9, Tom Davis.
The gents talked about how Davis got into dogs as a young man, and how he doesn’t consider himself a dog trainer, but a people trainer. Some of his responsibilities at Animal Behavior College include ensuring each student has the capability and canine skills to successfully graduate and enter into their professional career by fine-tuning and mentoring graduating seniors. In addition to training up-and-coming trainers, Davis manages several online dog training clients, as well as professional athletes, musicians, actors and politicians. Your hosts and Davis delved into behavior modification in pets and working dogs, and how it’s the same. The boys discussed e-collar training, and how Davis conditions the dogs, and maintains the training. It’s not every day you find someone with their own custom Dogtra collar 280c, Davis sure knows his stuff! So sit, and learn something from this professional People Trainer!
