In this episode we discuss a plan for prepping on a very limited budget of five dollars per week.

This is an example of a thirteen week plan. You make it what you wish. It is designed to get you started, and get you stocked up on food.
It is flexible in that you can change it to suit your need.
It is also scaleable to whatever budget you have.

Do not use money necessary for other obligations!
Do not go into debt for prepping!
Get a side hustle
Part time job

Most folks can find $5 per week
      1 less pack of cigs, if you smoke
      1 less cup of that $5 coffee
      2 less fast food trips per month

Plan doesnt have enough water on this plan, so store additional using empty, washed 2 liter soda bottles.

This plan does not address special issues such as infants. You can't build a stock of diapers and formula on $5 per week.

"Dollar Store" = Dollar General, Five Below, Family Dollar etc purchases

Good place to purchase
Flashlights & batteries
LED lantern, light sticks
Candles, matches, lighters
Duct tape
Aluminum foil
First aid supplies

Store only foods your family will eat.

First Week - food/gear
One box ramen noodles (12-24 packs)
2 AA flashlights w/ batteries
Lighter or matches & candles

Second Week - food/water
2 gallons of water
Bag of rice
Bag of beans

Third Week - food
1 lb spaghetti
3 cans spaghetti sauce

Fourth Week - food
$5 of canned vegetables

Fifth Week
$5 of canned meat
Examples:
Canned chicken breast
Canned tuna
Canned salmon
Canned sardines
Spam

Sixth Week
2 gallons water
$3 of boxed mac and cheese

Seventh Week
$5  of canned vegetables

Eighth Week
Dry soup mix, Family size, (4 or 8 cup bag)

Ninth Week
Bag of beans
2 lb spaghetti
1 can spaghetti sauce

Tenth Week
$5 canned chili, soup, or soup mix

Eleventh Week
1 box ramen noodles
Bag of rice

Twelfth Week
$5 in shelf stable food
Canned goods, pasta,  boxed pasta, canned meat,
whatever suits you.

Thirteenth Week
Pick one:
Corn meal
Flour
4 lb box kosher salt
$5 AA batteries
$5 in first aid supplies

Additional items to add along the way
Roll of duct tape
Box of large trash bags
Roll of aluminum foil
OTC medications, but don't buy dollar store meds
Short exp dates, sometimes inconsistent quality
