In one week, two of the most recognisable movie stars of the past 30 years announced their retirement.

First, #BruceWillis announced that he was stepping back from acting after being diagnosed acting with aphasia. Then, #JimCarrey stated that he too was intending to retire (or at least, “fairly serious” about it).
